Probably best to watch Continental Gold CNL as a proxy how mining stocks might react. I don't think it will matter much, seems to be an issue in the country that has been around a long time

Voters in Colombia have rejected a landmark peace deal with Farc rebels in a shock referendum result, with 50.2% voting against it.

The deal was signed last week by President Juan Manuel Santos and Farc leader Timoleon Jimenez after nearly four years of negotiations.

But it needed to be ratified by Colombians in order to come into force.
Addressing the nation, President Santos said he accepted the result but would continue working to achieve peace.

In Antioquia, the home state of ex-President Uribe, 62% rejected the deal. That is the state ZON and CNL are located

I think B2Gold's silence on this whole situation is more an affect then the vote

I wonder how the NO vote in Columbia will affect Zonte going forward ?

No to peace is probably not the best outcome for mining in Columbia

It's cocktail hour and I am going for 1, maybe 2 :) I came across this though. Columbia marked among the top for risk reward in Latin America by BMI Research

They predict a relatively smooth sailing for miners in Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Brazil.

Yes, I have but Seeking Alpha does not allow articles on microcap companies, but when news comes out I could write about the risk factor of $50 to $100 million to B2Gold

Flynn, good question. I know there is a couple brokers have good positions on their books, but other than that not to widely spread. I think through the down turn, the number of shareholders has contracted and Insiders and some others have increased positions.

I know I increased mine through these low prices. And I know probably about 6 or 7 shareholders that hold around 3 or 4 million. Management probably has around the same number

There is some recent research out by BMI and they rank Columbia among the top of the heap for risk/reward in Latin America

They predict a relatively smooth sailing for miners in Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Brazil.
